Corporate Accounting Manager - Phoenix Headquarters - Hybrid position

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to lead our consolidated close and financial reporting functions during an exciting period of growth. Reporting to senior accounting leadership, this role will oversee a team of high-performing Staff and Senior Accountants while ensuring the timely and accurate close of a complex, multi-entity organization.

What You'll Do

Lead the Consolidated Close Process

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple legal entities and business units.
  • Oversee consolidation activities, including intercompany accounting, eliminations, and related reconciliations.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet support schedules, and financial analyses.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on close efficiency, reporting quality, and automation.

Provide Technical Accounting Leadership

  • Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance for complex transactions and emerging accounting issues.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on business initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and organizational changes.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support external audits and coordinate audit requests and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting requirements.

Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Staff and Senior Accountants.
  • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and career development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
  • Effectively prioritize workload and resources to meet critical close deadlines.

Drive Process Improvement and Growth Initiatives

  • Identify opportunities to standardize, streamline, and automate accounting processes.
  • Support ERP enhancements, system implementations, and process transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with Finance leadership to improve reporting, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Participate in special projects that support the company's continued growth and expansion.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Active CPA designation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting leadership or management experience.
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise in U.S. GAAP.
  • Proven experience managing consolidated close processes within a multi-entity organization.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and developing accounting teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a rapidly growing or acquisitive organization.
  • Experience with business combinations, integrations, and entity consolidations.
  • Background in private equity-backed, public company, or large multi-location environments.
  • Exposure to ERP implementations and finance transformation initiatives.

Role is $130-150k plus bonus DOE
